Yes they can!! This is why we recommend yearly prevention.

Yes they do. Whether or not an animal is kept mainly indoors, Rabies is required by law, and respiratory viruses and bacteria may be carried into your home on your clothing!

"My pet's nose is wet, therefore she must be healthy."
How wet your pets nose is, does not determine his/her health.

"My dog does not need to be on heartworm prevention to protect him/her from contracting heartworm disease."
There are no proven natural products including barriers like fences and bug zappers, that will prevent heartworm disease.

"If I spay/neuter my pet before she/he is one year old, this will stunt her/his growth."
Pets do not have to be 6 months of age to spay or neuter. This will not hinder their growth, or cause them to gain weight.

"Eating canned food will cause dental disease in my pet."
Dental disease is determined by genetics, and regular dental care. Canned food has very little impact.

"Heartworm is an intestinal parasite."
Heartworm is NOT an intestinal parasite. They live in the heart, and can cause death.
