Fostering for Canon’s Cause

By October 9, 2012Canon's Cause

Foster homes are urgently needed for deserving homeless dogs from Ontario.

Many of these dogs need 4 to 6 months to get their heartworm disease treatment completed before they can be put up for adoption. Can you help? If you have the means to foster and love a dog undergoing medical treatment, can teach basic house manners and bring a malnourished dog back to shiny good health, please let us know that you are interested in our screening process.

If you aren’t able to foster, but would like to donate food, sponsor our in-clinic used book sale, or contribute financially, please tell us!

      Hi Kathy,
We have lots of books for the moment, but I’ll keep you on file for when our stocks get low. Thank you so much for your offer!

We are looking to adopt a black lab . Can u help us ?

    • grvhadmin says:

      Hi Melissa,
If you want a purebred Lab, you might consider the rescue groups, either provincial or national (look on the breed club websites for their rescue information). If a Lab mix is an option, please consider looking in the local humane societies or watch our Canon’s Cause facebook page, to see if we need to find a foster to adopt home for a Lab or mix needing medical care.
      Hope this helps!
