Registered Veterinary Technician
Amy
Amy has had a lifelong passion for animals and has always felt a special connection with them. From a young age, they brought her a sense of peace, purpose, and joy, which naturally led her toward a career in veterinary medicine. As a teenager and throughout her time in the Veterinary Technician program, Amy worked in animal hospitals and kennels, gaining valuable hands-on experience and deepening her love for animal care. In June 2023, she graduated from Sheridan College’s Veterinary Technician program and officially became a Registered Veterinary Technician later that summer.
Amy is committed to providing compassionate, attentive care to every patient and takes pride in building trusting relationships with their families. Her favorite part of the job is being there for animals when they need it most—offering a calm, reassuring presence to those who are anxious, supporting hospitalized pets through recovery, and assisting during surgery, where she gets to be part of important moments in their care.
Outside of the clinic, Amy enjoys quiet moments at home with her array of pets, spending time with her fiancée, or at the barn with her horse. She’s always eager to keep learning and is passionate about continuing to grow in her field to better support the health and well-being of every animal she meets.
