Katie grew up just outside of Dunnville with her family on a hobby farm. This is what kickstarted her love and passion for animals at a very young age. 

She graduated from Ridgetown College in 2017 after completing the Veterinary Technician program. She then started her career in Welland, but recently moved to Caledonia with her fiancee in spring 2023. This is when Katie started as an RVT with Grand River Veterinary Hospital. 

One of Katie’s interests in the clinic includes surgery, making sure every patient is well taken care of before, during and after the procedures. 

When she’s not working, Katie loves spending time with her dog “Whiskey”, and her horse “Chex”. Her hobbies include scuba diving, fishing and hiking, and she enjoys spending time with family. She also stays busy in her spare time as a volunteer firefighter. 

Katie looks forward to getting to know all of the new and existing 2 and 4 legged members of the Grand River family!
